Boundaries and Borderlines

I have often wondered about the significance of boundaries and borderlines be that of countries or between people. So random and so divisive in many ways.

Boundaries and borders
Delineate by circumstance.
But in truth
Where is the line
Between me and you,
Between I and thou,
Between us and them,
Between alone and together?

What is all this fuss?

That which shakes you
Also rocks me.
Are we not bourne of the same bough,
Of the same tree,
Held in the same earth -
Human to humus?

Ashes and dust
Should those boundaries be,
For when I see you
I also see me.
Led by the soul
Not bled by the body
Connection integral,
Eternal the human races through
Clouded vision, a turbulent see.
