Big Brother

If you know someone who works for a bank then please don't post anything detrimental to the banking world on their Facebook page! I did this during the week following the Bob Diamond resignation and further revelations. I was told that the person I'd posted this to had to report to their head office explaining that this had been posted and had not been requested or instigated by themself. Had they not reported this, then a disciplinary could well have been the order of the day.
I find it shocking that employers spy on their employees' internet interactions - and obviously have a way of accessing everything quite freely. I have heard of this before as there were reports of people loosing their jobs over pictures of drunken nights out posted on Facebook in the past.
What is more damaging however is the pernicious effect of the spying by Big Brother which not only strongly smells of mind control but is a very harmful and despicable form of limiting freedom of expression and thought. In these times when people are already anxious about their financial situation they are then threatened if they share their thoughts or opinions even on private pages over the internet. This is commonly known as blackmail!!
The fact that this has come to light for me because of the banking scandal only leads me to conclude that my dabbling in conspiracy theories may have given me a much more solid foundation for understanding what lies beneath, rather than following the mainstream propaganda that is churned out day after day, hour after hour by people who are severely constrained by their employers as to what they can say and indeed how they say it!
At the Nuremburg trials of Nazi criminals following WWII, the defendents said "I was only doing my job" or "I was only following orders". I ask whether this is to become the excuse again albeit in different circumstances.  Toe the line as its safer. It's all smoke and mirrors and we shall never know the truth but at least have the courage to stand in your own truth and question everything!!!
