4/8/2012 Poem'Till the Sun Sets on my Horizon
You have my loyalty and devotion As I cannot express in words, There is no sign to give For you know I shall be there 'Till the sun sets on my horizon - Reach out if your needs be. And when the moon has risen I'll still be by your side, In the darkness of the night My spirit lingers on. Sharon

3/8/2012 Trussed or Trust? I awoke this morning feeling quite frustrated and disheartened. I have taken many steps towards getting my Healing business up and running. This has included hours of social media networking which I love as well as talking to people directly. Every day I am planning and plotting what to do next to enhance my visibility and am moving those incremental stages forward. I am getting more 'hits' on the website and a greater reach on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. So under the surface something is happening. The roots are forming and the shoots will show through soon.
I am not one to be pessimistic despite my blood type - B negative! I therefore wondered what was going on to promote this mood. I immediately checked the astrology for today. Ahhh, she says! The transit of the moon changing signs later today from Aquarius to Pisces is activating some sensitive responses from my natal chart. In addition on a world scale, the moon will conjunct (i.e. pass across) transiting Neptune and Chiron later today suggesting vague feelings of insecurity and old hurts raising their heads. Fortunately moon transits are very short lived and cause minimal disruption but they do affect our basic needs. This afternoon therefore will be good for going inside and finding creative outlets to express this. I am planning a book and will consider further steps later today. I have already made an agreement with a friend to write tomorrow at her house - this will make it feel like a real commitment and I will therefore get some writing done. I do like to 'bombard' myself with positive messages in order to focus on what is good in my life. I feel that without that it is easy to drift into a malaise of general discontent. I have spent years disciplining my mind to refuse to buy into any negative thoughts which afterall are merely passing whims generated by my imagination. I will not be trussed up by the messages of doom and gloom. That's also one reason I rarely watch the news or any TV for that matter! This morning habitually, I switched on my laptop and received a tumultuous inflow of positive messages reinforcing my determination to Keep on Keeping on! First www.tut.com "Options multiply, Sharon, when insistence lessens. And when the time is right, I'll help you choose. Be fruitful, The Universe." Then on Facebook a friend of mine has designed her own divination cards http://sparklesoflight.weebly.com/the-hawk-princeapple.html and had drawn two cards which gave strong support for remaining on course. Just to reinforce this, as if I needed it by now, Doreen Virtue had also posted a short video entitled Moving Forward on Your Life Purpose http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjmOek9pAj8 I know that we only see what we are looking for (I am a psychologist afterall!). It's selective appreciation of what is happening around us. This is very much like 'selective hearing' that we often accuse our loved ones of suffering from when we ask them to do something for us and they don't! Sometimes however we really need messages from outside ourselves to hit home in order to move on. We can only see life through the lens of our own experience. Make sure your lens is set to 'TRUST' so that you do not become trussed up by negative invasions from your inner critic. As Mike Dooley of Tut.com says "Thoughts become things ... choose the good ones!" 2/8/2012 What sort of Healing do I do? People often ask me what sort of healing I do.
Is it Spiritual or Faith Healing? My answer tends to be that if it raises your spirits and increases your faith in yourself then yes to both. In very general terms Spiritual Healing tends to be associated with the Spiritualist movement and churches - I am not a spiritualist nor do I have any affiliation with them. In very general terms Faith Healing tends to be associated with Christian churches and to be practiced amongst selected members of the particular church - I was educated at a Catholic school but do not attend church nor do I have any affiliation with any Christian church. I don't like labels and work with anyone who requests healing. Denomination, be that religious or otherwise, is of no interest to me other than a backdrop to understanding a person's enculturated beliefs. To me race, colour, religion, caste etc. are simply ways of classifying and gaining a sense of belonging. Our greatest connection however, is that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience upon this beautiful planet. As such it is in our similarities not our distinctions that we find true meaning. Our unique individual qualities add colour to the rainbow of life and offer complementary skills and talents to the melting pot of humanity. As such they are to be honoured and valued accordingly. So what label do I use in order to be understood as a 'Healer'? I suppose I am naturally what I would call a 'Spiritual' Healer in the sense that I connect the spirit / soul of the individual to the spirit / primary soul from which all things have emerged or individuated. I call upon the highest power (source of all things) to work for the best possible outcome for all concerned. I believe this source of all things is pure Unconditional Love. Source knows what is best for us and holds that picture of perfection at all times. By tapping into that we can access our 'blueprint' of love and joy. With that 'link' I then imagine perfect health and the renewing, rebuilding and rebalancing of the body's energy systems on every level in order to bring about the necessary changes for the highest good. Alongside hands on or absent healing, I use dowsing, accupressure points, reflexology points, neuro-vascular points and sound healing techniques to achieve this. All of these techniques recalibrate the body, mind, emotions and spirit and I have always found these methods bring about an enhanced sense of well being. This in turn enables the body to relax and heal itself. In talking to the person I will consider factors from this life, those inherited through our DNA and possible soul contracts from other life times if this resonates with the client. I may refer to the natal birth chart to assess underlying trends or circumstances. I will very often use visualisation and meditation to help the person to embed the improvements. Other methods such as writing, drawing or T'ai Chi exercises can also be of great value. It is then up to the individual to practice or not. I cannot do the work for them. I am the messenger and the enabler. My job has been well done if the person is empowered to feel ready to continue on their life's journey with the tools to achieve realistic and positive outcomes. So, what sort of healing do I do? Well, it very much depends on what is needed but rest assured I have a large selection of tried and trusted methods. Which are used and how depends on the individual's needs at the time. |
